Reacting to “The Day of the Doctor”: SPOILERS!!!

And I mean it; there are spoilers in my post. DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED IT YET! TURN BACK NOW!

I’ll even post a video of River Song and other characters saying “Spoilers” to drive the point home!

If you’re still here, don’t shoot the messenger. Okay, now for the actual post.

PETER CAPALDI APPEARED FOR ALL OF TWO SECONDS!!! CAPALDI!!!!! Yes, John Hurt made a wonderful Doctor; yes, it was great to see David Tennant again; yes, it was six different kinds of awesome to have Tom Baker on our screens again; yes, I loved how the Doctors riffed off each other; yes, I loved how John Hurt was shaking his head over his successors’ antics, but can we all stop and marvel at the fact that we saw a preview of the Twelfth Doctor before he’ll actually premiere!?

Oh, my, this post wasn’t very coherent, was it? I’ll try to have a better one tomorrow, but for now, my brain is still screaming, “CAPALDI!!!!!!”

As an extra bonus, we have this half-hour comedy sketch starring Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, and a whole host of special guests. Titled “The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot”, this little show (which was written and directed by Fifth Doctor Peter Davison) follows how the Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Doctors scheme for a way to appear in the 50th anniversary special. It’s a hilarious watch; Peter Davison needs to write more scripts, and he, Colin, and Sylvester deserve their own show.
